7) Online marketing

7.1 Facebook pixel for creating personalized audiences (with cookie consent tool)

As part of our online offering, we use the "Facebook pixel" of the Facebook social network, which is operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Quare, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook"). When a user clicks on an advertisement that we have displayed on Facebook, an extension is added to the URL of our page linked by the Facebook pixel. If our site allows data sharing with Facebook via pixels, this URL parameter is written to the user's browser by a cookie that our linked site places itself. This cookie is then read by the Facebook pixel and used to transmit the data to Facebook. On the one hand, the Facebook pixel enables Facebook to identify visitors to our online offering as a target group for the display of advertisements (so-called "Facebook ads"). Accordingly, we use the Facebook pixel to display the Facebook ads we have placed only to Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products, determined with the aid of the web pages visited), which we pass on to Facebook (so-called "Custom Audiences"). With the help of the Facebook pixel, we also want to make sure that our Facebook Ads correspond to users' potential interests and that they are not harassing. In this way, we can also evaluate the effectiveness of Facebook Ads for statistical and market research purposes, by checking whether users have been redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook Ad (a so-called "conversion"). The data collected is anonymous to us and therefore does not allow us to identify users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook, so that a link to the relevant user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes, in accordance with Facebook's data usage policy (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). The data may enable Facebook and its partners to serve advertisements on and off Facebook. Data processing related to the use of the Facebook pixel takes place exclusively in the presence of your explicit consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by deactivating this service in the "cookie consent tool" made available on the website.

7.2 - Google Ads conversion tracking

The conversion tracking cookie is activated when a user clicks on a Google Ads ad. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your terminal. These cookies generally lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user has clicked on the ad and been redirected to that page. Each Google Ads client receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked on the websites of Google Ads customers. The information obtained from the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. They do not, however, receive any personally identifiable information. When using Google Ads, personal data may also be transmitted to Google LLC. servers in the USA. Google has no clear access to the data, but automatically encrypts the information contained in the customer files during the transmission process using a special algorithm. We use Google Ads to draw attention to our attractive offers by means of advertising media (so-called Google Adwords) on external websites. We can determine the success of the various advertising measures in conjunction with advertising campaign data. In this way, we aim to display ads that are of interest to you, to make our website more interesting for you and to achieve a fair calculation of the advertising costs incurred. This site uses Google Ads conversion tracking exclusively without the use of cookies, which means that the service does not place cookies on your terminal at any time. Instead, your browser's local memory is used to store an individual identifier assigned by Google, which is used to analyze your use of the website. To this end, certain user information is processed via the ID. The ID is set when a user clicks on an Ads ad placed by Google. If the user visits certain pages of this website, we and Google can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page. Each Google Ads client receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot therefore be tracked across the websites of Google Ads customers. The information thus obtained is used to compile conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. They do not, however, receive any personally identifiable information. When using Google Ads, personal data may also be transmitted to Google LLC. servers in the USA. You can find out more about the processes involved in Google Ads Conversion Tracking and how Google treats website data here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites Insofar as the information collected has a link to a person, processing is carried out in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in statistically evaluating the success of our advertising campaigns.
