ROCKING HORSE

In 2022, Adada acquired Tédé, a distinguished German manufacturer of wooden toys with a 30-year heritage in producing rocking horses and children's mobility toys.
Adada’s founder, Véronique Lacaze, an interior architect, and German designer Luisa Friedenstab collaborated to reimagine Tédé's traditional product range, developing contemporary interpretations of these classic children's items.
The rocking horse is more than just a toy: it's a faithful friend that accompanies children in their first discoveries, promoting their development and enriching their everyday life with laughter and joy.

A rocking horse serves several important developmental purposes for young children. In particular, it helps them better understand and interact with their physical environment. Rocking horses are particularly useful in developing following skills:

1. Motor Skills: Rocking horses help children develop balance, coordination, and core strength. As children learn to rock back and forth, they enhance their gross motor skills and spatial awareness. The rhythmic motion requires them to engage multiple muscle groups and learn to maintain posture.
2. Balance: The rocking motion provides valuable stimulation of the vestibular system located in the inner ear. This type of movement, combining rotation, tilting and phases of acceleration and deceleration helps children develop a sense of balance, spatial orientation, and body awareness. The gentle, repetitive motion can be soothing and aids in developing the inner ear's sense of movement and balance.
3. Imagination: Rocking horses are a classic tool for imaginative play. Children can pretend to be cowboys, explorers, or adventurers, creating elaborate stories and scenarios. This type of imaginative play is essential for cognitive development, creativity, and emotional expression.
4. Confidence: Mastering the skill of rocking independently helps children build self-confidence. As they learn to control the horse's movement, they experience a sense of achievement and autonomy.
5. Strength: Riding a rocking horse provides a form of gentle physical exercise for young children. It helps them develop muscle strength, particularly in their legs, core, and back muscles.

Adhering to Adada's principles, the wooden toys are manufactured using carefully selected materials: premium plywood, superior French wool felt sourced from Laoureux, robust leather and stainless steel.
Each piece is meticulously handcrafted in the same European workshop that has historically produced Tédé's renowned toys, ensuring continuity of craftsmanship and quality.

The product is delivered in a box with detailed instructions and all required tools. Mounting is easy and requires a few minutes only. Please make sure to follow the instructions and not to leave any spare parts within reach of children. Packaging should be disposed of properly.
